Demand Logic seeks a DevOps engineer to join our development and infrastructure team. We are an award-winning software company forging new paths in the property technology sector with our ground-breaking approach to building performance management.

Our customers use our platform to reduce the energy used in their buildings; to increase the comfort and well-being of building users, and to reduce the cost of maintaining their heating, ventilation and cooling assets. Our customers love our product; the majority see a return on their investment within the first few months of using Demand Logic.

We now need a DevOps engineer with industry experience working in a team. We’re on a sustainability mission to get buildings to work properly, and we need your help to do it.

About you

We’re looking for a tenacious and patient individual who has a desire to learn, and great experience to share. In return, you’ll work alongside an incredibly talented team in a warm and supportive working environment tackling the exciting challenges of gathering, analysing and reporting on data from millions of individual sources.

The DL platform streams high volume data to a near real-time frontend and manages that data for long-term analyses for a wide variety of users. You will work closely with the senior developers and engineers to improve and maintain the reliability of the platform on which our users depend.

Day-to-day tasks will include:

  • maintenance activities
  • monitoring and responding to system availability and security alerts
  • sharing in the on-call rota with the team, to respond to SLA-critical system events

In the next year, we plan to:

  • roll out the next generation of highly available and secure platform infrastructure and
  • increase the speed and ease with which our developers can bring new functionality online.

We anticipate that you will play a crucial role in helping the team achieve these goals.

In addition, you will get to influence the development life-cycle of the platform and help develop new and improved processes and services.

Demand Logic is an engineering-led company, so we appreciate any and all technical capability. If you’re interested in other technical disciplines, that’s a plus.
